Kim Kardashian’s Meal Replacement Shakes

The shake powder should be blended with 200ml ice cold water. This can be done by hand, in a blender or with a shaker. The shake should be consumed immediately once mixed. Although this is the suggested way to blend the shakes, they are a versatile product and may be used in other ways as detailed below:

  • Make up with milk rather than water
  • Blend into a smoothie with berries
  • Make with warm water to create a hot drink
  • Stir the powder into fat free yoghurt

Additional calories should be taken into account when preparing the shakes in alternative ways.

Baked Fish

You will need:

1 fish fillet or whole fish such as mackerel / sea bream
¼ Tbsp parsley, chopped
2 Tbsp of breadcrumbs
¼ onion, chopped
A pinch of lemon rind, grated
¼ tsp salt and pepper
¼ Tbsp reduced fat margarine

Method:

• Preheat oven to 190°C. Prepare fish, remove eyes and trim fins
• Mix parsley, breadcrumbs, onion, lemon rind, salt and
pepper to form mixture • Sprinkle half the mixture in baking dish, place fish on top and cover with remainder of mixture
• Dot with margarine
• Cover and cook in oven for 30-45 minutes for large fish, when cooked, flesh is white and will lift readily from the bone

Baked Fish with Parsley Breadcrumbs

Baked Fish with Parsley Breadcrumbs

You will need:

1 fish fillet
½ cup fresh breadcrumbs
½ cup finely chopped parsley
½ cloves garlic, crushed
½ Tbsp olive oil

Sauce
1 ripe tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp butter

Method:

• Combine breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic and olive oil
• Place fish in a single layer on a baking tray covered with baking paper
• Spread breadcrumb mixture over fish
• Bake in a moderate oven until fish is cooked and breadcrumbs golden
• To make sauce, puree tomatoes then simmer with lemon juice and butter until heated through
• Serve fish with sauce

Crunch Fillet of Fish

You will need:

1 fish fillet (around 150g)
¼ Tbsp lemon juice
½ Tbsp olive oil
¼ Tbsp wholegrain mustard
1 Tbsp finely chopped almonds or cashew nuts
1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh basil

Method:

• Combine lemon juice, oil and mustard in a jar and shake well
• Brush both sides of the fish with the mixture
• Combine nuts and basil on a large plate and coat both sides of the fish fillet
• Place fish on an oiled baking dish and cook for 10 - 15 minutes at 190°C
